How is the duplicate produced ?

It is produced using data from the Government systems under the Open Government Licence v3.0

How is it delivered?

The duplicate is delivered via a link which you click to view the document. This can then be saved to your computer or printed.

How long is the link valid for?

The link can be used for upto 24 hours after the duplicate is produced.

How do I save and print the document?

Either select the menu at the top of your browser or right click with the mouse on the image - These will both bring up options to print or save.

How do I pay?

You can pay with a credit card or with a paypal account. Both are handled through paypal. You do not need a paypal account to pay with your credit card with this method.

Can you send me a printed copy of the duplicate?

No we only provide them electronically to keep costs low. You can easily print the duplicate.

When I input my details I get a message "cannot produce the document due to technical reasons"; Why is this? What can I do?

If for some reason the software is unsure about the data received from the Government the data will not be used and a duplicate not produced. You may still be able to get a duplicate from you local MOT station.

Why does the certificate have Duplicate in the issuers name?

This data is not available from the government under the licence.

Who signs the document?

The document is signed by us as we have produced the duplicate.

Does the duplicate prove the vehicle has a MOT?

The duplicate uses data from the Government's systems so it is as reliable as this data. The government's online MOT check website should always be used to validate whether a vehicle has a MOT.

My MOT has run out. Can I still get a duplicate?

No we only produce duplicates which have not expired.
